When you write about your favorite food, your sentences should be
clear, honest, and
easy to read.
What can you write about?
The name of your food: pizza, rice, soup, pasta.
What it is like: hot, cold, sweet, salty, crunchy.
When you eat it: for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner, or on a special day.
Who you eat it with: my family, my friends, my grandparents.
Helpful sentence starters
My favorite food is…
It tastes… (sweet, salty, yummy).
I eat it… (for dinner, on my birthday).
I like it because…
Keep each sentence simple
Write about one clear idea in each sentence.
Use a capital letter at the start.
Leave spaces between words.
Finish with a period.
Think: "Can my reader see what my food is, what it is like, and why I like it?"

Read your sentences. Look for a
