Tip: Imagine one moment from a dream. Write a short sentence with a capital letter, spaces, and a period.
Objective
I can write a short sentence about a dream using a capital letter to start, finger spaces between words, and a period (.) at the end.
Materials
- Pencil ✏️ and eraser
- Ruled paper
- Tracing Pad (below)
- (Optional) Star or moon sticker for motivation
Think of one thing you saw in a dream: a star, a cloud, the moon, or flying in the sky.
Mini-lesson — Turn a Dream into a Sentence
- Choose one dream idea (e.g., star, moon, flying).
- Say a simple sentence out loud: “I see a star.”
- Start with a capital, use spaces, end with a period.
- Read it back. Does it sound finished?
Guided Practice — Trace and Write a Dream Sentence
Trace a focus word, then copy the model sentence. Finally, write your own:
- Model words: I, dream, about, a, star
- Copy the model: I dream about a star.
- Write your own: I dream about a ____. (moon, cloud, bird, kite…)
Use capital I, keep letters on the baseline, and add a period.
