I can plan and write about my own invention idea by naming a problem, explaining my solution, listing key features, and telling how it helps people.
Materials
- Pencil ✏️ and eraser
- Paper or tablet

Tip: Use the pattern Problem → Solution → Features → How it helps. Keep it clear and simple.
Mini-lesson — Turn problems into inventions
- Find a problem: What bug or bother do people face?
- Offer a solution: Your invention should fix or reduce the problem.
- List features: 2–3 special parts or actions that make it work.
- Explain benefits: Who does it help and how?
- Name it: A short, catchy name helps readers remember it.
Video won’t be included when printing.
