Grade 6 · Writing · Lesson 9

Write a powerful personal narrative

A powerful personal narrative does more than recount events — it takes the reader on an emotional journey. The writer selects one meaningful moment, shapes it using the narrative arc, and closes with a reflection that reveals why it mattered. The goal is not to report what happened, but to make the reader feel it.
