Global challenges and cooperation

Some challenges are too big for any one country to solve alone. Pollution drifts across borders. A disease that starts in one city can spread to every continent in weeks. Refugees fleeing war need safe places to live. Nuclear weapons in one country threaten everyone. Modern global challenges are SHARED — and that is why countries cooperate.
