International organizations

Some problems are bigger than a single country. Trade flows across borders. Diseases ignore passports. Climate change affects every continent. To work on shared challenges, countries form international organizations — groups of governments that meet, negotiate, and act together. The most important of these is the United Nations, but many others handle specific regions or jobs.
