Grade 6 · SEL · Lesson 28

Trust and responsibility

Trust is what people feel when they can predict how you will act. It is not a speech you give once. It is a track record built from many small, reliable actions over time. When you say you will be there at four, and you are there at four, a tiny piece of trust is added. When you say you will keep a secret, and you keep it, another piece is added. Responsibility is the daily work that keeps adding those pieces. The two travel together: trust is what others feel, responsibility is what you do.
