Identity, interests and goals

Your identity is not just one thing. It is built from many parts: the family you belong to, the culture you grow up in, the beliefs you hold, the friends you choose, the interests you care about, and the future self you are slowly becoming. When you understand those parts, your goals stop being random — they start to fit who you really are.
