Tracking habits and routines

A habit is a small action you repeat so often that your brain runs it on autopilot. Brushing your teeth, packing your bag the night before, drinking water when you wake up — none of these need willpower once they become habits. A routine is a chain of habits done in the same order at the same time. Good routines turn busy days into calm ones because your brain stops choosing every step from scratch.
