Division Models and Facts Fluency

Division splits a total into equal groups. When you see 12 / 4, you can picture 12 cookies shared onto 4 plates with 3 each, an array with 4 rows and 3 columns, or 12 with four 5s subtracted away. All three pictures give the same quotient: 3.
