Make a Class Storybook

Some of the greatest stories ever made were built by teams. A class storybook works the same way: each person contributes a section, but every section serves the same story. The challenge is keeping characters consistent and the plot connected from first page to last.

What this lesson teaches

1Plan a shared protagonist, setting, central problem, and resolution before writing begins
2Write one section that fits within the beginning–middle–end structure and connects to the neighbouring sections
3Keep the protagonist consistent across sections — same name, traits, and voice
4Identify the story mountain parts — beginning, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution
5Assemble a finished illustrated storybook with cover, title page, story pages, and About the Authors
