Design a Class Magazine

A magazine is a published collection of writing on a shared theme — sports, science, cooking, animals, travel. Every magazine starts the same way: a group of people decides what it will be about, who will read it, and what kinds of writing it will include. Today, you are not just writers — you are editors and publishers. You get to design the whole thing.

What this lesson teaches

1Design a class magazine by choosing a clear theme and audience
2Plan at least four sections using at least three different writing types
3Write specific, attention-grabbing headlines for each article
4Add a byline below every headline to credit each writer
5Build a table of contents that lists every section title with its page number
