Write About Protecting Nature

Some of the most important writing in the world is persuasive writing about the natural world — letters to governments, essays by scientists, reports by young activists. Today you will apply everything you learned about persuasive writing to a topic that matters beyond the classroom: protecting nature.

What this lesson teaches

2State the opinion clearly using signal words such as "I believe" or "In my opinion"
3Support the opinion with two specific reasons that show real impact on animals, people, or the planet
4Close with a strong argument that includes a clear call to action
5Revise by reading the paragraph aloud and replacing vague reasons with concrete facts
