How to use: Print first for the main practice. Then use the device to repeat activities and save progress.

Objective

I can describe magical worlds or creatures using vivid details, strong adjectives, and sensory words.

Materials

Mini-lesson — Make magic feel real with details

Magical writing works best when the reader can picture, hear, or even feel the world you describe. Good details make impossible things feel believable.

When describing a magical world or creature, think about

  • Appearance: colors, shapes, size, light, texture
  • Movement: how it flies, glows, swims, or drifts
  • Sound: whispers, roars, ringing, humming
  • Special power: what makes it magical

Example

  • Creature: The moon deer had silver antlers that glowed in the dark.
  • World: The sky garden floated above the clouds and smelled like sweet rain.
