How to use: Print first for the main practice. Then use the device to repeat activities and save progress.

Objective

I can write a reflection about learning by telling what I learned, what challenged me, and how I improved.

Materials

Mini-lesson — Reflection helps you notice growth

A reflection is writing that helps you look back and think about your learning. Good reflections are honest, clear, and thoughtful.

Strong reflections often include 3 parts

  • What I learned: Name the skill, topic, or lesson.
  • What felt hard: Tell one challenge or tricky part.
  • How I improved: Explain what got better with practice.

Example

  • What I learned: I learned how to write stronger paragraphs.
  • What felt hard: At first, it was hard to write clear closing sentences.
  • How I improved: I practiced and now my endings make more sense.
