✍️ WRITING (40 Lessons)🟢 A. Writing with Structure

← Back to Level 3 Writing

How to use: Print first for the main practice. Then use the device to repeat activities and save progress.

Objective

I can edit and improve writing by rereading, fixing mistakes, and making sentences clearer.

Materials

Mini-lesson — First drafts are not the end

First drafts are not the end. Writers improve their work by rereading, checking for mistakes, and changing weak parts into stronger writing.

Key idea

  • Reread the writing slowly.
  • Look for capitals, punctuation, spelling, and missing words.
  • Check if each sentence makes sense.

Keep it strong

  • Improve weak or boring parts.
  • Add stronger words or clearer details.
  • Remove words that do not help the reader.

Example

  • Before: The dog was nice.
  • After: The playful dog wagged its tail and ran to me.
  • The second sentence is clearer and more interesting.

Ask yourself: "Did I make my writing clear, organized, and easy to follow?"
