Planning Your Mini Book

• Choose a topic you genuinely care about — your enthusiasm will show in the writing.
• Decide on the genre: fiction story, how-to guide, fact book, poem collection, biography.
• Plan the structure: what will each page cover? Write a quick page-by-page outline.
• Think about your audience: who will read this book? What do they need to know?

Making It Look Great

• Design a cover with a clear title, the author's name, and an inviting illustration.
• Keep each page focused on one idea — do not overload a single page.
• Use headings, labels, or captions to help the reader navigate non-fiction books.
• For fiction, use dialogue, action, and short paragraphs to keep the pace moving.
