Read Poems Aloud

Poetry is made to be heard. When you read a poem aloud, you give it a voice. But not just any voice — the right voice for the mood. A joyful poem bursts with energy. A sad poem flows slowly and quietly. A calm poem breathes gently. An excited poem rushes forward. Reading poems aloud well means listening to what the words are feeling.
