Objective

Materials

Mini-lesson — Lists help your brain remember

A list is writing that is made of short items. Lists help you remember what to do or what to buy.

Two common lists

  • To-Do: jobs you need to do
  • Shopping: items you need to buy

List tips

  • Start with a heading: To-Do or Shopping
  • Write short items (not long sentences)
  • Add a detail if it helps: how many or which kind

Quick check: "Could I use my list without asking questions?"

Guided Practice — Practice list items

Choose 3 sentences from the Trace menu and copy them neatly on paper. Then use the Tracing Pad to practice words, sentences, and marks.
