How to use: Print first for the main practice. Then use the device to repeat activities and save progress.

Objective

I can write a simple email with a subject, greeting, message, closing, and my name — and follow basic email safety.

Materials

Mini-lesson — Emails are messages with a subject

An email is a message you send on a device. It should be short, polite, and easy to understand.

Email parts

  • Subject: what the email is about
  • Greeting: hello + the person’s name
  • Message: 1–3 clear sentences
  • Closing: polite ending
  • Name: your name on the next line

Safety rule

  • Do not share personal info (address, phone, passwords).
  • If you are not sure, ask an adult before sending.

Quick check: "Is my email polite, clear, and safe?"

Guided Practice — Practice email parts

Choose 3 sentences from the Trace menu and copy them neatly on paper. Then use the Tracing Pad to practice words, sentences, and marks.
