Mini Lesson
Our world is home to nearly 200 countries, each with its own language, food, flag, history, and way of life. Today you become a travel guide — sharing one amazing country with everyone!
What makes each country unique?
- Continent — every country sits on one of the seven continents: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North America, or South America.
- Flag — each country has its own flag with specific colors and symbols that represent its people and history.
- Language — countries may have one or more official languages; some have dozens!
- Food — traditional dishes reflect a country’s geography, history, and culture.
- Landmark — a famous building, natural feature, or monument that is recognized around the world.

What is a global citizen?
- A global citizen is someone who cares about people all over the world — not just in their own country.
- Global citizens learn about other cultures, respect differences, and work to make the world a better place for everyone.

Vocabulary
Country
A land with its own people, leaders, and rulese.g. Italy is a country in Europe.
Culture

Continent
