Mini Lesson

You do not need to win a trophy to feel proud. Every time you try something hard, finish a task, or do something kind — that is a win worth celebrating!

What is a small win?

  • A small win is any step forward, no matter how tiny.
  • Example: finishing your practice, helping a friend, reading one more page than yesterday.
  • Small wins add up to big progress over time.

Why celebrate small wins?

  • Celebrating builds motivation — the energy to keep going.
  • It reminds you that your effort matters.
  • It helps you feel proud of yourself, which makes you want to try more.

How do I celebrate a win?

  • Say it out loud: "I am proud of myself because I ___."
  • Share it with someone you trust.
  • Write it down so you remember your progress.
