Mini Lesson

Have you ever looked back at a drawing you made months ago and thought, "Wow, I am so much better now!"? That is called reflecting — looking back at yourself to see how much you have grown.

What is reflection?

  • Reflection means thinking carefully about what you have done and how you have changed.
  • Example: "I used to find reading hard, but now I can read a whole page."
  • Reflecting helps you notice your progress, even small steps forward.

How do I reflect on my progress?

  • Ask: "What did I get better at?"
  • Ask: "What did I work hard on?"
  • Ask: "What do I want to improve next?"

Why does reflection matter?

  • It builds confidence — you can see real proof that you are growing.
  • It shows you where to focus your effort next time.
