Tip: After fixing a word, read the whole sentence to be sure it still makes sense.
Mini-lesson — How do I fix spelling?
Say it slowly. Tap each sound and write the letters you hear.
Look for patterns. Common chunks: tion, ing, ck, igh, oo.
Check rules.c before e, i, y (soft c); k after short vowel (like back).
Use tools. Word wall, dictionary, or your spelling list.
Re-read. Fix one word, then read the whole line for flow.
