I can use correct ending punctuation (. ? !) and capital letters at the start of sentences, for the pronoun I, and for names/places.

Read sentences aloud. If it asks, use ?. If it shows strong feeling, use !. Otherwise, use .

- Use ? to end a question.
- Use ! to show strong feeling.
- Capitalize the first letter of a sentence, the pronoun I, and names/places (e.g., Sam, Texas).
Guided Practice — Trace Punctuation & Capitals
Trace an end mark or a capital, then write a full sentence that fits:
- . — “I have a pencil.”
- ? — “Where is Sam?”
- ! — “Look at the dog!”
- I — “I live in Texas.”
- S — “Sam plays chess.”
Use one end mark per sentence. Start with a capital letter.
