Materials

Mini-lesson — Short messages that sound friendly

A short message is quick, clear, and kind. It usually has four simple parts: Hi, a clear line, a closing, and your name.

Start with a greeting

  • Use Hi or Hello.
  • Add a name: Hi Mom, Hello Mr. Lee.

Write one clear sentence

  • Keep it short and easy to read.
  • Say what you need in a calm way.

Use polite words

  • Please and thank you help your message sound kind.
  • Kind words make people want to help.

Close and sign

  • Use Thanks or Love.
  • Write your name at the end.
