A poem is like a tiny song on paper. Poems can rhyme, repeat, or paint a picture. Today we focus on rhyming words.

Ask yourself: "Do the last words sound the same at the end?"
Choose 3 sentences from the Trace menu and copy them neatly on paper. Then use the Tracing Pad to practice words, sentences, and marks.
Drag the words to build a 4-line poem. Lines 1–2 rhyme. Lines 3–4 rhyme.
Bonus: Change one word in each line (cat → dog, big → hot) and keep the same rhymes.
Answer each question about rhymes, ending sounds, and poem lines.
