Objective
I can write a short story using my imagination with a
beginning, middle, and end.
Materials
- Sharpened pencil
- Eraser
- Ruled paper (primary lines preferred)
Mini-lesson — Turn imagination into a story
Imagination is your story engine. You picture it in your mind, then you write it down.
A strong story is easy to follow because it has a clear shape.
Beginning
- Meet the character.
- Learn the setting (where it happens).
- Get ready for the problem.
Middle
- The problem happens.
- The character tries to fix it.
- Details make it feel real.
End
- The solution happens.
- The story finishes clearly.
- No surprise stopping.
Easy detail trick
- Add one sound (boom, splash, tap).
- Add one feeling (happy, worried, proud).
- Add one small picture (red cape, tall tree, shiny rock).
Ask yourself:
"Who is it about? Where are they? What happens first, next, and last?"
