How to use: Print first for the main practice. Then use the device to repeat activities and save progress.

Objective

I can write a short story using my imagination with a beginning, middle, and end.

Materials

Mini-lesson — Turn imagination into a story

Imagination is your story engine. You picture it in your mind, then you write it down. A strong story is easy to follow because it has a clear shape.

Beginning

  • Meet the character.
  • Learn the setting (where it happens).
  • Get ready for the problem.

Middle

  • The problem happens.
  • The character tries to fix it.
  • Details make it feel real.

End

  • The solution happens.
  • The story finishes clearly.
  • No surprise stopping.

Easy detail trick

  • Add one sound (boom, splash, tap).
  • Add one feeling (happy, worried, proud).
  • Add one small picture (red cape, tall tree, shiny rock).

Ask yourself: "Who is it about? Where are they? What happens first, next, and last?"

Guided Practice — Write a 3-sentence imagination story

Choose 3 sentences from the Trace menu and copy them neatly on paper. Then use the Tracing Pad to practice words, sentences, and marks.

Drag & Drop — Build a 3-sentence story

Drag the words to build a story with 3 sentences. Read it out loud when you finish.

Mia walked to the park .
A small puppy ran away .
Mia held out a snack and the puppy came back .

Extra: Copy the 3 sentences on paper and add one detail (a color, a feeling, or a sound).
