Open data and open source intro

When you check a map, look up a fact, watch a video on a phone, or send a message, there is a very good chance that some of the data and some of the code behind that experience is OPEN. "Open" here does not mean "free as in price" only — it means free as in "you are allowed to read it, use it, share it, and build on top of it." This is the lesson where you meet the two big pillars of openness on the internet: open data and open source.
