Human Impact and Resources

Every minute of your day, you use Earth\u2019s resources. The water in your shower, the electricity in the lights, the gasoline in the car, the wood in your pencil, the metal in your phone — all of it comes from the planet. Some of those resources can be replaced quickly by nature. Others took millions of years to form and, once we use them up, they are gone. Understanding the difference between renewable and nonrenewable resources, and how our choices affect the planet, is the heart of caring for Earth.
