Adjust pace and tone for effect

Two readers can speak the same sentence and make it feel completely different. The trick is PACE — how fast or slow you read — and TONE — the feeling your voice carries. A skilled read-aloud changes both ON PURPOSE, line by line, so the audience feels what the author wants them to feel.
