Practice phrasing and intonation

Reading aloud well is not just about saying the right words — it is about saying them in the right groups, with the right tone. Strong readers PHRASE their reading: they bunch the words that belong together and pause between phrases. They also use INTONATION: their voice goes up, drops down, or grows louder so the meaning lands. Phrasing and intonation are what turn a list of words into real speech.
