Grade 5 · Reading · Lesson 24

Write short reading reflections

A reading reflection is a short piece of writing where you stop and answer the question: what did this text do to ME? It is not a summary — it is your honest thinking after reading. Reflections are short (five to seven sentences is plenty), but they push you to do real work: connect the text to your life, agree or disagree with the author, and decide what you will do with what you read.
