Grade 4 · Writing · Lesson 10

Describe Feelings and Lessons Learned

When writing about personal experiences, describing your feelings makes the writing powerful and honest. But simply saying "I was sad" or "I was happy" is not enough — good writers choose precise emotion words and explain why they felt that way. Equally important is reflecting on what the experience taught you.
