How to use: Print first for the main practice. Then use the device to repeat activities and save progress.

Objective

I can prepare a writing presentation by choosing a strong piece, organizing what I will say, and sharing it clearly with an audience.

Materials

Mini-lesson β€” A good presentation is clear and prepared

A writing presentation is more than reading your paper. The speaker should know what to share, speak clearly, and help the audience understand why the writing matters.

What strong writers do

  • Choose a piece: Pick writing you can explain and share confidently.
  • Plan what to say: Introduce the piece, share a part, and explain why you chose it.
  • Speak clearly: Use a calm voice and enough volume to be heard.
  • Think about the audience: Make it easy for listeners to follow.

Example

  • Title: My Stormy Day Story
  • Reason: I chose it because the ending is strong and the details are clear.
