How to use: Print first for the main practice. Then use the device to repeat activities and save progress.

Objective

I can design a class magazine by choosing sections, organizing short features, and making the pages clear for readers.

Materials

Mini-lesson β€” A magazine needs clear sections and strong features

A class magazine is a project with different pages and sections. Good magazines are organized, easy to read, and full of writing that fits the main purpose.

What strong writers do

  • Choose sections: Examples: news, stories, art, interviews, or reviews.
  • Write short features: Each part should stay focused and useful.
  • Organize the pages: Put similar topics together so readers can follow the magazine.
  • Think about the reader: Titles, headings, and layout should make reading easy.

Example

  • Section ideas: School news, student art, book picks
  • Feature title: Our Favorite Recess Games
