Write Reviews of Books or Movies

A review is one of the most useful pieces of writing in everyday life. When you want to know whether a book is worth reading or a movie is worth watching, you look up a review. Today you will learn to write one — and to do it well enough that your reader can make a real decision based on your words.

What this lesson teaches

1Write a book or movie review with four parts: title, summary, opinion, and star rating
2Write a two-to-three sentence spoiler-free summary that describes the story without revealing the ending
3Support an opinion with at least one specific reason connected to the book or movie
4Give a star rating from 1 to 5 with a one-line justification that matches the opinion
5Distinguish a weak, vague opinion from a strong, specific one
