Mini Lesson
A digital citizen is someone who uses technology safely, responsibly, and respectfully. Over the past lessons in this planet, we have explored many important skills — from screen time balance and cyberbullying to copyright and online safety. Today we bring those skills together in a class digital citizenship pledge.
The Digital Citizenship Pledge
- I will be KIND online — I will use technology to help, encourage, and include others.
- I will be SAFE — I will protect my personal information and tell a trusted adult if I feel unsafe.
- I will be RESPONSIBLE — I will balance my screen time and follow agreed rules.
- I will be HONEST — I will give credit for others' work and not copy without permission.
- I will be a HELPER — I will report cyberbullying and support anyone who is targeted online.
- I will be CRITICAL — I will check information before sharing and question suspicious content.
- I will RESPECT others' privacy — I will not share photos or messages about others without permission.
- I will GROW — I will keep learning how to use technology in better, safer, and more creative ways.
