Mini Lesson

Digital tools — such as tablets, computers, and educational apps — are powerful learning helpers. Using them responsibly means making choices that keep you safe, respect others, and follow the rules set by your parent or grown-up.

Responsible Digital Tool Use

  • Ask permission before downloading any new app or file.
  • Use headphones at the right volume to protect your hearing.
  • Log out of apps and accounts when you are finished.
  • Only visit sites and apps that your parent approves.
  • Keep your passwords private — do not share them with friends.
  • Be kind and respectful in any online messages or comments.
  • Follow the agreed screen time limits.

Irresponsible Digital Tool Use

  • Sharing passwords with friends or cousins.
  • Downloading apps without asking a trusted adult.
  • Visiting websites that are not allowed at home.
  • Using a device during a lesson without permission.
  • Posting unkind comments about others online.
