Recognizing Peer Pressure

Peer pressure is the influence that people your own age have on your choices and behavior. It can be direct — when someone explicitly tells you to do something — or indirect — when you feel like you should do something just to fit in or be accepted. Both are real, and both can push you toward choices that do not match your values.
