Read Maps, Charts, and Diagrams

Maps, charts, and diagrams are visual tools that help us understand information quickly. Instead of reading many paragraphs, we can look at one well-designed visual and learn a great deal. Skilled readers use these tools to find facts, compare data, and see how things are organized.
