✍️ WRITING (40 Lessons)🟠 E. Writing Projects

← Back to Level 3

Objective

I can plan and write about a future dream (for example: a job, a skill, a place to visit) using a clear topic sentence, reasons, and action steps in the future tense (I will / I can). I will include a closing sentence that wraps up my plan.

Materials

Tip: Think SMART: Specific dream, a way to Measure progress, steps that are Achievable, Relevant to you, and a Time you plan to start.

Mini-lesson — From dream to plan

  1. Start with the dream. Example: One day I will be a marine biologist.
  2. Add 2–3 reasons. Why does this matter to you? Use because, so, therefore.
  3. List action steps. First, I will... Next, I will... Finally, I will...
  4. Use future tense. Verbs like will learn, will practice, will apply.
  5. Close with confidence. End with a hopeful line that ties back to the dream.

Guided Practice — Trace on the Pad

Trace these key words, then draft 6–8 sentences about your future dream:

  • Key words: dream, goal, will, because, steps, practice
  • Example outline:
    1. Topic: My dream is to become a marine biologist.
    2. Reason: I love ocean life and want to protect it.
    3. Step: I will read books and watch science videos.
    4. Step: I will practice swimming and join a science club.
    5. Step: I will visit an aquarium and ask questions.
    6. Closing: If I keep learning, I will help sea animals one day.
