What Grade 3 covers

Grade 3 (3rd grade, ages 8–9) is 280 lessons: 40 in each of 7 subjects, every subject in a clear order from lesson 1 to 40. For example: in math, children learn to explain division as equal sharing of a quantity among a given number of groups; in reading, to define cause and effect and explain the relationship between them; and in science, to describe the four main stages of the water cycle in order.
