Materials

Mini-lesson — Writers grow and celebrate

Good writers do more than finish a page. They also look back, notice growth, and feel proud of the work they have done.

How to celebrate writing work

  • Choose a favorite piece you enjoyed making.
  • Say what makes it strong such as neatness, details, or clear ideas.
  • Notice your growth by thinking about what you can do better now.
  • Share kindly and listen when others share too.

Example

  • Favorite piece: My story about the kite at the park
  • Why I chose it: I added clear sentences and a matching picture.
  • What I learned: I can organize my ideas better now.
