Write an Imaginative Adventure Story

An adventure story takes a brave hero somewhere exciting — and puts them right in the middle of a problem they have to solve! Adventure stories are full of action, danger, and courage.

What this lesson teaches

1Plan an adventure story by answering three questions: who is the hero, what is the problem, and how is it solved
2Use exciting action verbs like sprinted, dashed, grabbed, and roared to make the story feel fast-paced and vivid
3Structure an adventure story in three paragraphs — hero, problem, solution — so the reader feels the danger and the rescue
