Team Project Day

A team project is when two or more people work together toward a shared goal. Teams can do things that individuals cannot do alone — because every person brings different strengths, ideas, and energy to the work.

Why teams achieve more

• When tasks are shared, each person can focus on what they do best.
• Different ideas make the final product stronger than any one person’s idea alone.
• Encouragement from teammates helps everyone keep going when the work feels hard.

Four key roles in any team

• Leader — keeps the team on track, makes sure everyone has a task, and helps the group make decisions.
• Recorder — writes down the team’s ideas, plans, and findings so nothing is forgotten.
• Presenter — shares the team’s finished work with an audience, speaking clearly and confidently.
• Encourager — notices when teammates are struggling and offers kind, helpful words to keep morale high.

Sharing tasks fairly and handling disagreements

• Fair sharing means every team member has a meaningful job — no one does everything while others do nothing.
• When teammates disagree, listen to each idea, look for common ground, and vote calmly if needed.
• A great team celebrates everyone’s contribution at the end — not just the final product.
