Being responsible means doing what you are supposed to do. It means taking care of your job, your things, and your choices even when no one reminds you.

What does responsibility look like?

  • A responsible person finishes the job instead of walking away.
  • A responsible person puts things back after using them.
  • A responsible person tells the truth and fixes mistakes when something goes wrong.

Where can we be responsible?

  • In your lessons, responsibility can look like following directions, bringing back materials, and doing your part.
  • At home, responsibility can look like cleaning up, feeding a pet with help, or putting clothes where they belong.
  • Responsibility is not about being perfect. It is about doing the right job and trying to fix problems.

What does a responsible choice sound like?

  • "I will put it back."
  • "I made the mess. I can help clean it."
  • "It is my job, and I will do it."
