Practice your presentation

Step 7 of the capstone is presenting your work out loud. A presentation is a different medium from a written report — the audience cannot pause, re-read, or check your bibliography in real time. They only get what you say and show in the moment, so practice is everything.

What this lesson teaches

1Plan a 5-10 minute presentation that mirrors the structure of the report
2Rehearse out loud at least three times and time each run-through
3Maintain eye contact and steady pacing instead of reading slides word-for-word
4Handle questions from the audience with brief, honest answers
