Types of government

Every country needs a system for making decisions, passing laws, and managing public life. We call that system a government. There are many different types of government in the world, and they differ mainly in WHO holds power: the citizens, a single leader, a small group, or religious authorities. Understanding the main types helps us read the news with a sharper eye and compare countries fairly.
