Grade 6 · SEL · Lesson 12

Coping with mistakes and feedback

A mistake is not a failure — a mistake is data. It tells you exactly which step of a skill is still under construction. Feedback is the same. When a teacher, coach, peer or your own brain says this part went wrong, that sentence is a free map of what to fix next. Strong students do not avoid mistakes and feedback — they build a habit for handling them on purpose.
